GOOD FOR: Fastest, best, one pass tillage operation for a residue incorporation, weed control and seed bed preparation.
Will prepare the perfect seed bed with the roller/packer behind the disks.
Will turn soil "black" but with controlled depth and minimal horizontal layering.
Will incorporate residue thoroughly for improved decomposition, nitrogen benefit and helping break disease cycles.
Will work at 10+ mph with adequate horsepower.
Will provide one pass weed suppression with small weeds and moderate populations.
Will require a minimum of 10hp per foot. More to operate at higher speeds than 10mph.
NOT GOOD FOR: Vertical tillage or hayfield renovation. Not good for working slowly. Higher speeds are necessary to work properly. Will not break hayfields or sod.
